Fall Week 8 Recap

Fall 2017 - Week 8 Game Recaps

Donahue's - 73 vs Roscoe's Favorites -  61

Donahue's picked up a big win in a battle of two teams near the top of the standings. Kevin Donovan was among four Donahue's players to score double digits putting up 15 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 assists. Mark English also had a great game with 12 points, all coming by way of the three ball, and 5 rebounds.

Roscoe's Favorites were short handed but that didn't stop Scott Chamberlain from having a huge 34 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists performance.

Shuttlesworth - 47 vs RMR Group -  35

Shuttlesworth bounced back from their lone loss of the season last week with this victory. Cedric White was the lead man posting a double double with a game high 14 points and 12 rebounds. A win next week will secure them the top seed in the playoffs.

RMR found themselves in a double digit half time deficit but came out flying in the second opening up on a 13-4 run to cut the lead to one. Unfortunately, that was as close as they would get as they ran out of gas towards the end. Ryan McAliffe lead the team with 13 points.

Team Big Cat - 64 vs VHBallers -  49

Currently riding the league's longest win streak at four games, Team Big Cat may be the team nobody wants to see come playoff time. The resurgence of team captain Scott. St. Lawrence has given them a huge boost and added another weapon on both ends of the floor for an already well balanced team. St. Lawrence poured in a game high 20 points to go with 12 boards, 4 assists, and a steal to give him  his first double double since his comeback.

Another great game by Josh Cone-Roddy who had 18 points and 10 rebounds kept the game close, but letting up 41 points in the second half proved to be the team's downfall. VHBallers join two other teams with a 3-5 record trying to sneak into the playoffs.
